Pink Bush Roses

As you probably know the Scottish word for lake is Lock and this one is in Duddingston, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
At this time of sunset, the swans, coots, and other aquatic birds that populate this spot have gone to rest and silence reigns supreme enough to soften the heart of every photographer.

Lenticular Clouds
The purple iridescence just beginning to form on the biggest cloud was a particularly elegant treat for me.
I love lenticular clouds, but we don't get them frequently around here. I've noticed that the month of March seems conducive to their formation in this area. So on this day I chased them for as long as they lasted.
I had to be quick, though. In the blink of an eye, they changed shape and floated along, dissipating as they morphed.
